Gerard Love Formed in 1986 at UMASS (Amherst, MA), Buffalo Tom-Bill Janovitz (guitar/vocals), Chris Colbourn (bass/vocals), and Tom Maginnis (drums) - emerged from the same fertile Massachusetts scene that produced bands like Dinosaur Jr., the Lemonheads, the Pixies, and Belly and quickly earned a reputation for bracing guitar crunch, melodic hooks, and emotional songwriting.
